Code Enforcement

The code enforcement office investigates property code violation complaints and enforces code regulations, which includes issuing continuing certificates of occupancy (CCO). A CCO is required prior to the sale of all commercial and residential properties and whenever there is a change in tenant.

The code enforcement office also issues mercantile licenses (contact the Construction Clerk).

Common Violations

Overgrown brush/grass/weeds – Chapter 91
Trash/garbage/debris/litter – Chapter 50 & 130
Parking/unregistered vehicles
